Talked about Basic care of rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, turtles, and reptiles.

No speaker- we discussed our own emergency back up plans for our businesses and ourselves.
We all shared ideas of how people presently back each other up.

Dr. Wendy Simpson of Morrisville Cat Clinic had a great talk about Preparation & paperwork
for if a client’s cat dies while in your care. Also gave great tips on how to transport them.

Dr. Jennifer Goetz of Brier Creek Animal Hospital talked to us about Cats and Kidney Disease

We as a group raised over $20,000 in donations for Presents 4 Pets.
The Pet Foster Network distributed the items to 16 different rescue groups, foster homes and shelters in need.
We also had a roundtable discussion about marketing and what was the worst and best things you have
done which was very interesting and also discussed what speakers and topics we want to have on the
schedule for next year's meeting.

We talked about the P4P Campaign and getting the boxes set-up at over 70 locations
across the triangle. Also talked about what we as TAPPS would like to have our group do over the next coming year, and
what guest speakers we would like to have come to our meetings.

Denise Kustka, the AniMall Fundraising Coordinator was our guest speaker.

Guest Speaker was Daniel Trimpy from Page Progressive on Search Engine Optimization very informative
meeting discussing many things we can do to improve our page rankings on search engines.
He answered questions as they were asked and we were able to talk after the meeting to him as well. An
announcement was made that the By-Laws for our group have been finished and will be sent out to members
this week for review and any questions can be addressed to the directors.

February 11th
Round Table Discussion held at Caribou Coffee's private room on Duraleigh Rd
Included topics about organizing our first event at Bark Around the Park, finishing the by-laws for our group, how
our pet sitting businesses were doing in this economy, joining TAPPS and we brought up topics we would like to
be discussed at future meetings.

January 8th
Guest Speaker was Sylvie of K9 Solutions
We were able to bring our dogs, she talked about dog training and problems we
encounter and answered any questions or addressed any past problems we have had.
